IT Technician – NorthStar Memorial Group (Galleria Area)

NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a proactive and dedicated IT Technician to join our Home Office team in the Galleria area. Here, empowerment isn’t just a value—it’s how we operate. Our open-door culture ensures your voice is heard, your ideas matter, and you’re encouraged to think differently and challenge the status quo.

We are driven by passion and a shared commitment to excellence for the families we serve. Every team member plays a vital role, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in an environment built on trust, accountability, and initiative.

What We’re Looking For

  • A self-starter who takes initiative and can work with little to no supervision. Due to rotating schedules, you won’t always have someone beside you, so doing the right thing when no one is watching is essential.

  • Someone who is adaptable, dependable, and comfortable managing tasks independently.

  • A team player who brings curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Hybrid schedule: After completing three weeks of 100% in-office training, this role transitions to 2 days in office / 3 days remote each week.

  • Office located in the Houston Galleria area.

  • Must be willing to work a rotating Saturday schedule.

  • Standard shifts are 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve tickets through the service desk ticketing system within established SLAs.

  • Monitor and respond promptly to incoming phone requests related to IT issues.

  • Maintain computer systems and provide support during system degradation or outages.

  • Support end-user hardware including PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment (monitors, keyboards, mice, hard drives, etc.).

  • Troubleshoot issues for both in-office and remote users, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism in every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.

  • CompTIA IT Fundamentals, CompTIA A+, or similar certifications are a plus.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting computers and cloud-based technologies.

  • 2+ years of experience supporting remote users and troubleshooting moderately complex issues.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

  • Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

We are an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
