NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent at SouthPark Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Responsibilities

• Assist the superintendent with the overall physical appearance and condition of cemetery grounds, funeral homes, mausoleums, crematories, buildings, roads, and walkways to which he/she is assigned
• Operate equipment in a safe and careful manner
• Ensure that all members of the caretaker team observe Federal (OSHA), state, and local safety requirements for themselves and visitors to the cemetery
• Able to fill any role required in the groundskeeping/facilities maintenance function

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in maintaining grounds, preferably in a cemetery
• 1+ years of experience in managing or leading maintenance workers
• Ability to fill any role in the grounds-keeping duties
• Maintain knowledge and adhere to OSHA law
• Professional communication and strong leadership skills
