A Junior Financial Analyst I, provides support to leadership in improving the Company’s efficiency and profitability. It requires the ability analyze the company's business model and project investments and use their findings to make suggestions for improvement regarding everything from budget and operations to management.

This role requires 100% in-office presence at our Galleria office in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze historical financial data and reports as required
• Understanding Key Business Drivers (KPIs), by incorporating and tracking KPIs in preparing reports and analysis
• Assist in the development of financial projections and build financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
• Prepare cost projections and forecast financial results
• Coordinate with operation managers and senior executives on long-term financial projections associate with projects being analyzed
• Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, company policies, and relevant legal regulations
• Participate in budgeting (both CapEx and development / growth projects)
• Review financial and sales transactions for data accuracy
• Assist and train both field and home office members on how to use the systems and applications developed, which includes providing guidance on existing tools, as well as assist with researching issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling
• Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software
• Expertise and proficiency in Microsoft products (particularly Office MS Excel - creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
• Familiarity with finance databases
