Internship Responsibilities

• Learn how to compassionately present service options to families
• Help coordinate, plan, and schedule visitations, memorial services, receptions, and open houses
• Support the scheduling of clergy, military honors, and other ceremonial arrangements
• Assist in preparing documentation including death certificates, burial transit permits, insurance claims, VA burial benefits, obituaries, and notices
• Shadow licensed Funeral Directors and contribute to meaningful service

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or have completed an accredited mortuary science program
• Must meet all state requirements for internship eligibility
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to follow direction
• Professionalism in handling sensitive and emotional situations
• Basic understanding of funeral services and products
• Familiarity with industry regulations at the federal, state, and local level
