About the Role
As a Community Development Advisor, you’ll help families plan ahead by offering cemetery property, merchandise, services, and prearranged funeral or cremation plans. You’ll serve as a trusted guide, helping clients make informed decisions with compassion and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong community relationships and educate families on preplanning
- Schedule and conduct presentations and guided park tours
- Maintain accurate and timely paperwork and contract processing
- Track sales activity and performance metrics using CRM tools
- Prospect daily through cold calling, door-to-door outreach, events, and seminars
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive, proactive attitude
- Stay informed on relevant topics (veterans’ benefits, Social Security, etc.)
- Partner with local churches, civic groups, senior living centers, and more
- Conduct preplanning seminars and follow NorthStar’s proven sales playbook
- Set 10–12 pre-need appointments weekly and follow up professionally
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluency in one or more of the following languages (written and verbal) is required: Filipino (Tagalog or Ilocano), Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Korean
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Familiarity with cemetery and funeral industry regulations (preferred)
Compensation
First-Year Projected Earnings: $75,000 – $175,000+
